Mathew Roberts is a North Wales based singer who has been singing professionally for the last 25 years and has firmly established himself as one of the leading vocalists in the North West. 

Mathew has a wealth of experience in the music industry, having performed with countless bands and ensembles from across the UK. This includes fronting Superbad, a 70’s disco funk tribute band for almost six years. He has also fronted the hugely popular Manchester based 11 piece soul band “Man Made Sole”. Mathew has been the frontman for four-piece function band “Got it Covered”, been a guest vocalist with various big bands and for the last eight years has been the male vocalist with one of the finest UK based big bands, “The Mike James Orchestra and Singers”. With this fine band Mathew has performed at many leading theatres and venues in the UK and back in 2018 went on a hugely successful tour of Russia performing in many sold out theatres.

Mathew has also done his fair share of recording. From singing songs for children on an album for Marks and Spencer, to recording with a big band in Studio 2 of the world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London.

Mathew sings a wide variety of music catering to all tastes. From 60's rock and roll, soul, Motown, 70's and 80's, right up to the current day. One style that suits him perfectly is big band swing and jazz. He has really made a name for himself performing this genre of music in an authentic style, focussing on his impeccable tone and phrasing. Whilst not being a precise tribute, there is more than a tip of the hat given to the original performer. Choosing from a huge repertoire from such stellar artistes such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr. Perry Como, Matt Monro and Harry Connick Jnr. 

In the last few years, this fine singer has performed at some of the best hotels, sporting venues and restaurants in the North West, including a residency twice a month at the stunning Chester Grosvenor Hotel. For three consecutive years, Mathew performed at every race meet at Chester Racecourse in the exclusive Winning Post Enclosure, entertaining guests whilst receiving the highest of praise.
